Dr Methukunta joined the practice in 2010. He is the practice lead for mental health.

He is also a member of the Local Medical Committee (LMC) in Preston.

He is actively involved in the teaching of 1st to 5th year medical students and FY2 doctors.

Briarwood Medical Centre is a training practice and clinicians are actively involved in training the next generation of doctors, nurses and pharmacists. This may mean that a student may be sitting with the clinician when you attend for an appointment. We thank you for your cooperation but if you would prefer not to have a student present, please inform reception on your arrival.

Pharmacist Katy joined the practice in 2022. As a clinical pharmacist she can see patients for various health conditions and issue prescriptions.

Hayley joined the practice in 2022. She helps to assess and solve clinical queries on behalf of the doctors and clinical pharmacists. She also runs her own surgery carrying out various different Health Checks.
